Living Independent Skills

LIS is  for ages 15 to 21, some of which are living at home with their parents or young people living in alternative arrangements.

The purpose of this program is to prepare young people for living on their own.

Group is 2 hours once a week. 

Topics offered are:

  • The rentals man act
  • how to apply for identification
  • opening a bank account
  • nutrition
  • budgeting
  • problem solving
  • health 
  • other topics of interest by the group.

This program is accessible by self, referral or by calling the office to register.

This program is offered regularly throughout the year.
